The Retreat at Alameda, Senior Living

The Retreat at Alameda is Astoria’s first senior living project and is a natural extension of the firm’s outpatient surgical facility and medical office building portfolio. The project is a 98,000-sf, 104-room assisted living and memory care facility located in North Phoenix, and provides a fresh take on traditional senior living by focusing on a more contemporary aesthetic with unique amenities. Scheduled to open Q1 of 2021, construction timing presented an opportunity for an impactful HVAC design change that would encourage mitigation of airborne pathogens. In addition, the facility has creative arts, music and other enrichment activities for a custom level of engagement.
